Cultivate a comprehensive understanding and strong commitment to addressing the mental health needs of military personnel, veterans, and their families. As a student organization inspired by the principles of APA's Division 19, we seek to bridge the divide between civilian and military psychological practices through education, research, and community engagement. We are dedicated to supporting those who serve by fostering knowledge, advocacy, and implementing interventions that enhance the well-being of the military community. By bringing together students who share a passion for military psychology, we aim to develop a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled cohort of future psychologists. Our goal is to prepare doctoral students to work effectively with U.S. veterans by educating both veteran and non-veteran students on the best mental health practices, understanding cultural differences, and providing opportunities to engage directly with veterans, thereby honoring and advancing mental health care for our nation's military population.
