New Horizons - Clinical Psychopharmacology as a Recognized APA Specialty and Moving Towards Board Certification
On August 8, 2020, the American Society for the Advancement of Pharmacotherapy (ASAP) was recognized as a Specialty by the American Psychological Association (APA) Council of Representatives. This historic accomplishment sets the stage for Clinical Psychopharmacologists who are licensed to prescribe to become board certified. Academic and experiential pathways to becoming a Prescribing Clinical Psychopharmacologist will be discussed.
Please join us for a series of webinars exploring topics in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Our featured speaker is Dr. Judith Steinman, PhD. As past-President of APA Division 55 and Program Director for the nation’s first Postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology, Dr. Steinman will share with you her experience in the field and the importance of prescriptive authority for improved behavioral mental health access.
